Connecting Nigeria's producers to the international gold market.
Sadaya is a Nigerian gold buying and export house. We purchase gold from artisanal and small-scale producers at source, test and consolidate it, and supply buyers internationally under our own name.
We operate where the gold is.
Our buying network sits across Nigeria's principal producing regions — Zamfara, Niger, Kebbi and Lokoja — within reach of the West African Greenstone Belt, one of the least developed gold provinces on the continent.

Closing the distance
Between the producer and the end buyer there has historically been distance, and that distance has been filled by intermediaries operating without accountability.
Sadaya was established to close it. We buy as principal, document every purchase, and stand behind what we deliver.

We buy gold at source and deliver it under our own name.
Sadaya purchases gold with its own funds, then tests, consolidates and exports it to contracted buyers. Producers are paid at purchase; buyers have one accountable counterparty.
From the buying desk to delivery.
Sadaya holds the approvals required to buy, consolidate and export gold from Nigeria. Every consignment carries documents the next party can verify.

At the point of purchase
At our regional buying offices, producers see each parcel weighed and tested using density measurement and ultrasound scanning. Payment is made by bank transfer to a named account at the point of sale; we do not transact in cash.
Consolidation and preparation
We aggregate purchased material and smelt it into doré bars at licensed facilities in the producing region. Each lot is assayed and documented before it leaves our custody.
Movement and export
An insured specialist carrier moves the gold to departure. Each export carries the documentation required by Nigerian law.
Delivery and settlement
Contracted buyers independently assay each consignment on arrival. Settlement follows by telegraphic transfer against their assayed result.
Provenance is the product.
Artisanal gold from West Africa attracts scrutiny, and it should. International buyers apply OECD due diligence standards to material from this region, and a supplier who cannot answer questions about origin is of no use to them. Sadaya is built around being able to answer.
Who we buy from
We buy from producers and volume aggregators with whom we hold established relationships, at sites we have visited and assessed. Suppliers are identified and recorded. We do not buy from walk-in sellers we cannot place, and we do not buy material we cannot trace to a site.

How we pay
By bank transfer only, into a named account, at the point of sale. No cash changes hands at any stage of our buying operation. This is a deliberate control: it creates a record of every transaction and every counterparty, and it removes the anonymity that makes informal gold trading difficult to audit.
What we record
Every purchase generates a record of supplier, site, weight, tested purity and price. Consolidated lots are assayed and documented. Export consignments carry full statutory documentation. The chain from producer to buyer is continuous and reconstructable.
Our people on the ground
Sadaya maintains dedicated operations, security and logistics functions. Our regional offices are staffed, not virtual, and our buying is done by our own people.
Communities
Artisanal mining supports livelihoods in the regions where we buy, and the communities hosting that production see too little of the value it creates. Sadaya's community investment is directed at healthcare, power, water supply, education and sport in the areas where we operate.
Nigeria today. Africa next.
Our presence in the producing regions is physical — offices, staff, testing equipment and supplier relationships built over time.

Our buying network sits across Nigeria's principal gold-producing regions — Zamfara, Niger, Kebbi and Lokoja — with head office in Kaduna.
These are among the most productive artisanal gold regions in the country, and among the least formally served. Our presence in them is physical: offices, staff, testing equipment and supplier relationships built over time.
Our buying model is built to travel. The West African Greenstone Belt extends well beyond Nigeria’s borders, and the structural gap we address — producers without access to end buyers, buyers without verifiable supply — exists across the continent. We are extending the Sadaya network into broader African markets as our operations mature.
We have currently established a buying network in the Republic of Niger, and plans are ongoing towards establishing in Sierra Leone, Mali, Kenya, Tanzania and the Congo.

We supply contracted buyers and refiners in the United Arab Emirates, Europe, Asia and the United States.

Sadaya's longer-term plan is to move upstream. We intend to resume semi-industrial mining on our high-yielding site from the second quarter of 2027, alongside a processing facility targeting an extraction rate above 90 per cent, and to progress towards full-scale industrial mining thereafter.
Experience across resources, operations and trade.
Sadaya's team brings over forty years' combined experience in resources, operations and trade across sub-Saharan Africa.

Olugbile Durojaiye is the founder and Chief Executive of Sadaya Mineral Resources Limited.
He studied architecture at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and holds a qualification in audio engineering and sound production from SAE Institute, Cape Town.
His career spans more than twenty years across entertainment, engineering and international trade. As a professional musician he performed for international brands and institutions including the United Nations and the British Council, and at Expo 2020 Dubai. He currently works with a UAE-based team of robotics and mechatronics engineers developing magnetic levitation technology.
He entered gold trading in 2022 and incorporated Sadaya in 2024, to address a structural failure he had observed directly. Miners and end-buyers rarely meet. The distance between them has long been filled by intermediaries operating without accountability, and both sides carry the cost — producers underpaid for material they have already extracted, buyers exposed to counterparties they cannot verify. Sadaya was established to close that distance: a licensed buying operation that takes principal risk, tests and documents every purchase, and delivers to contracted buyers under its own name.
